Q: WATER - HOW CAN I MAINTAIN MAXIMUM FLAVOR OF MY DRINK?

A: Our aim at Lyre’s is to pay ultimate respect to the flavors of the classics. By taking these flavors and using our non-alcohol base, we recommend reducing ice and following the recipes we have developed that showcase the liquids in the best proportions. It’s true of other styles of products such as sugar-free, or gluten free that some slight adjustment is expected. We do believe that no other beverages are as close to the original as Lyre’s and that means that you have the benefit of freedom of choice of a non-alcohol alternative, without losing the taste of the time-honored classics.

Q: PRICE

A: Lyre’s is a premium product and the price reflects that. Years in the making, our range has been meticulously crafted for sophisticated adult tastes with extensive development to create the flavor architecture required to make Lyre’s commercially available. Lyre’s price reflects the benefit we provide as an alternative option when looking for mindful drinking choices.

Q: IS LYRE’S 100% ALCOHOL FREE?

A: The Lyre’s range is classified as non-alcoholic, meaning they contain 0.5% ABV (Alcohol By Volume) or less (the range sits between 0.2% - 0.3% ABV).  Lyre’s is like many beverages – Orange Juice or Kombucha for example, in that it contains trace amounts of alcohol. You’ll even find similar levels (or higher) amounts of alcohol in foods like bread or ripe fruit.  True story!

Lyre’s doesn’t claim 0.0% ABV, but instead claims that it is non-alcoholic spirit, given the ultra-low volumes of trace alcohol in our beverage (less than 0.5% ABV). We note non-alcoholic beverage classification can vary from country to country, but legislation typically falls between a maximum alcohol content of 0.5% ABV and 1.2% ABV to be considered a non-alcoholic beverage.  We do know that some online resellers are advertising our range, as well as other non-alcoholic spirits as 0.0% ABV, which is incorrect.  Please let us know if you come across this.

Q: HOW DO I STORE LYRE’S?

A: Always reseal with original cap after opening. Do not leave bottle open or replace cap with pourer. Once open, best refrigerated for optimum freshness. Recommended to be consumed within 12 weeks of opening.

Q: DOES LYRE’S CONTAIN ANY ALLERGENS?

A: All of the ingredients used to meticulously craft Lyre’s are free from known allergens (excluding our rum products which contain Barley). We use all-natural ingredients throughout our range. We recommend reading the individual product pages for more specific information in relation to each product.

Q: MY LIQUID ISN'T COMPLETELY CLEAR?

A: Because Lyre’s doesn’t use alcohol as a preservative, we use natural essences and ingredients, this can happen from time to time. It is a result of the very fine natural flavour components bonding together (Much like sediment in wine.) Your drink is completely fresh to drink and the flavour still as magnificent as ever. Hot tip: shake vigorously to disperse any bonds’ and see if that doesn’t fix your bevoir. Refrigeration after opening will ensure this is less likely to occur. Reach out to us at customer service to discuss further should you like to explore a replacement.

Q: IS LYRE'S VEGAN?

A: Absolutely. The only animals featured here are our beloved spirit animals depicted on our labels. We use all-natural ingredients throughout our range. We recommend reading the individual product pages for more specific information in relation to ingredients.

Q: IF LYRE’S HAS NO ALCOHOL CAN MINORS DRINK IT?

A: Lyre’s is a product designed for the enjoyment of adult tastes. The product has been created for people of legal drinking age looking for a sophisticated non-alcohol alternative. While it may technically cause no harm, Lyre’s in no way endorses or encourages consumption of our product by anyone who is not of legal drinking age.

Q: IS LYRE’S ANTI-ALCOHOL?

A: Lyre’s is in no way against alcohol. We do see a trend towards mindful drinking. Our approach has been to pay homage to the time-tested classics that make up the traditional alcohol category. We have just seen that there are times and occasions when you can’t enjoy these classic flavors and have to break the taste. By switching to a Lyre’s, or perhaps mixing your lyre’s with alcohol, you can still enjoy the taste that has made these styles so popular, but you can manage the other factors that lead you to a non-alcohol/low alcohol choice.

We do believe that we can play a role by removing the stigma of not drinking that occurs with the obvious switch to a traditional non-alcohol beverage solution, especially in confronting social situations. By simply taking a drink and making it a Lyre’s, we can help by offering a degree of social camouflage, in that you can enjoy the same drink, served the same way with the same tastes, it just is a non-alcohol version, empowering you to drink freely.
